  3. Gretel! I have a great piece of 16mm film of Gretel. Sometime in the late 90’s, u and ur kids left on summer vacation, leaving me to feed Gretel. I took her out to the community park next door, El Jardin del Paraiso (i think u all had already taken her out there once or twice) and filmed her traversing over what was probably the worst , definitely the least green, part of the park. When I shown the film to Camelia and Oona they were pissed at me, yelling that she could have gotten hurt crawling over whatever rubble that was out there. Today in the very site Gretel was filmed , there is a rain-harvest wetland pond with a dozen turtles. Gretel, another Lower East Side pioneer!
